Skull Reptiles : Why the name and the company?

How did we get our name Skull Reptiles?

When I got my first ball python as an adult of course I had to get a cool skull hide for my baby ball python named Jameson. Jameson is the Ball python you can see in the picture happy as can be playing in the skull hide we had in his enclosure. It was rad watching him slither in and out of the eye sockets of the skull. But the reason for the name SKULL REPTILES goes beyond just my fascination for skulls and reptiles.

As I said before I LOVE Skulls. Skulls are a symbol of our mortality. When we know how fragile our lives are it teaches us to live our lives to the fullest, embrace relationships, takes risks, and enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer you. Family and Friends bring me a lot of happiness in my life. Another aspect I have found happiness in my life is keeping and Breeding reptiles, especially snakes. (Ball Pythons and Boas.)

For more symbolism, we used "Reptiles" in our name to be more generic. But did you know the Serpent or the snake has deep rooted symbolism as well? Snakes have historically throughout the ages been a symbolism of power, protection, healing and wisdom. Is it any wonder why their is a serpent wrapped around a staff that we see commonly used on our medical personnel and ambulances. Just a quick bit of info for you on the significance of reptiles and snakes in our history, and there is much more if your interested contact me or look it up.

We are currently focusing on Ball Pythons and Boas. Ball pythons were the reason why I fell in love with reptiles. I don't think you can find a better chill pet then a Ball Python. They are excellent size and well mannered. A HUGE PLUS is there are endless Ball Python morphs which make it so cool that you can have an extremely unique looking snake that not only captures your attention and your heart but others you introduce it too.

Boas I was recently introduced to, and I was quickly infatuated with them due to their size and personality. I was also obsessed with the IMG and Moonglow morphs that I thought were gorgeous. So I started to breed them so I can create some of them as well as other rad boa Morphs.

My family also loves Reptiles, specifically snakes including Boas and Bal Pythons. We not only have a reptile room in our house but we have snake cages in our bedrooms of our favorites. I love seeing the joy that snakes brings to my family and friends and we love sharing that joy with others. This is the big reason we want to breed snakes to create top tier reptile companions for people that are unique and bring you joy as they have for us.

I hope this is a good introduction to us as a company, to my family, and myself.

thanks,

Devon
